Semantic Model

1         What is the semantic model?

The semantic model describes what activities, results, states, plans are required in order to calculate the RIM-scores automatically. It also describes what rules should be applied during this calculation:

2         Terminology used

In the description of the semantic model, the follow terminology is used when describing the rules

 

Registration time span: the time span of the stay of the patient at the unit for which the registration is being done.

 

Registration day: the 24-hour period that spans the registration time span. It begins at 0h00 and ends at 24h00 of the day of the registration time span.

 

Registration period: the period in time during which RIM/MVG-registrations are due. Typically there are four periods of 15 days a year.

 

3         Updating or creating the semantic model

The semantic model is formally described by an XML file containing all information viewed. The XML file is found here.
